When you register for an “R” course at Forsyth Tech the instructor will only use freely available Open Educational Resources (OER) resulting in a reduced-cost option for course material instead of purchasing a high-priced textbook.


AVAILABLE “R” COURSES

A wide variety of commonly taken courses at Forsyth Tech Community College have been selected and designed to allow students to complete a majority of credits towards an Associates in Arts that will fully transfer to any UNC school at a either no textbook cost or a heavily reduced textbook cost.

These courses (as of Summer/Fall 2018) include: ACA 122, ART 111, BIO 111, BIO 112, BIO 168, BIO 169, CHM 131, CHM 131A, COM 231, ENG 111, ENG 112, ENG 241, HIS 131, HUM 110, MAT 143, MAT 152, PHI 240, PSY 150, REL 110, and SOC 210.
